Smith Embellishments is a small business that sells handmade grapevine and ribbon wreaths, hand painted wood signs, and crocheted placemats and purses. It all began in 2016 when I was asked to make a large grapevine wreath with sunflowers for my nephew’s wedding. At the wedding, a few individuals asked if I would make a similar wreath for their front door. Little did I know that making this lovely fall sunflower wreath would lead to the opening of a business.
Smith Embellishments offers a wide selection of handmade grapevine and ribbon wreaths that can be displayed at your home or business throughout the year. We have a selection of wreaths for each season, such as the Spring Mum Wreath, and others that have been made based on a specific theme (i.e. characters, sports) like the Puzzle Piece Ribbon Wreath or the Black and Yellow Masked Ribbon Wreath. We enjoy using burlap, grapevine, ribbon, and silk flowers in our products. Our wreaths can be personalized by adding a wood letter for an additional fee. The wood letter has been hand cut and stained or painted before it is added to a wreath. Our wreaths make lovely decorations for a door and can be a beautiful way to update the decor within a bedroom, living room, or kitchen. The character wreaths would add to the theme for a child’s birthday party and can then be used in their bedroom. Wreaths can even make wonderful holiday gifts as the recipient can enjoy these as decorations in their home year after year.
Another product line that Smith Embellishments offers customers is hand painted wood signs. These are beautiful wood signs that are rustic in style and would look great with country or primitive decor within the home. The wood signs may have one or two words on them (i.e. family, blessed, give thanks) or a phrase, such as “Welcome to the Porch”. Other wood signs can be personalized for your family such as the Personalized Family Name Sign or the Hanging Family Names Sign. These personalized wood signs are the perfect gift for a wedding gift or as a housewarming gift. The signs that we offer can be stained or painted. The lettering is all painted by hand. All signs are sealed with polyurethane to protect the finished product. All signs have the hardware included, and the product is ready to hang.
A product line that Smith Embellishments has is crocheted products. Our crocheted product line includes placemats, table runners, egg aprons, and purses. The placemats and table runners have a delicate design, and they are made with cotton yarn. They come in a variety of colors such as brown, burgundy, red, teal, yellow, and white. These placemats would be an excellent way to update your table settings. There are currently two styles of crocheted purses that are available for purchase. The crocheted purse comes in several colors that include black, gray, light blue, navy blue, purple, spring green, and white. These purses are a messenger style purse that have a zipper closing. They are lined with fabric that is also used to stabilize the crocheted strap. Six or eight pockets are found inside of the purse. Several of these purses have a crocheted flower on the outside of the purse that is attached with a button as a cute way to embellish the purse. The crocheted purse would make a stylish diaper bag for a mother-to-be. The second style of crocheted purse is the petal purse. The current color options include gray, light brown, navy blue, and turquoise. This particular purse has crocheted petals on it. It is a zipper purse that is lined with fabric. Six pockets are inside of the purse. A unique feature about this purse is that it has a detachable strap. The strap is attached to the purse with a key chain clasp. It is a crocheted strap that has been lined with fabric to provide additional stability. Another crocheted product is the Egg-ceptional Egg Gathering Apron. It is a handmade crocheted apron that has a total of 19 pockets to hold eggs and one larger pocket for other items such as a phone. It is just the product for someone who raises chickens!
